Product Class categories a Product Group into one of 4 types:
These Classes control how a Machine Service card is processed when Assets are using a Product Group plannogram. When using Product Groups the Line Item processing is treated as follows:
Bill Changer Items
The Quantity Filled processed on the line item is interpreted as numbers of Dollars. On the Service Card the Quantity Filled should be the Par.
Ingredient
The Quantity Filled processed in the line item is interpreted as an Ingredient and not as a Vended item. This relates to Coffee Machine servicing where Coffee, Creamer etc is being added to the Machine, but is not the item being sold. The Ingredients quantity will be subtracted from the Route for inventory purposes, but no Sales will be generated against this Line Item and no Cash will be allocated against this line item.
Metered
The Quantity on the Ending balance will be treated as a Vend count Meter. The Price on that Line item will be the sell price/value of each meter click. This is used for Coffee machines that only have meter readings and no cash per selection. VendSys will compute quantity sold by subtracting the prior meter quantity from the Current quantity. The sales value will be quantity sold * the Price.
Vended
The items are treated as standard vended products. Quantities are subtracted from Route Inventory, Cash is allocated to them and Sales are carried through to the Sales Reports.
