Manufacturers

Manufacturers are the makers of the Assets you need to define in your business. Each Manufacturer will have a list of Models they have made, each Asset must be assigned a Model.

Therefore in order to create a new Asset, you must first have created the Model, and in order to create the Model the Manufacturer must be first created.

VendSys will have been pre-populated with the most common Manufacturers and Models, but these can be added to as required.

The following fields are used to define Manufacturers:

Description

The name of the Manufacturer. It must be unique in the Manufacturer list.

Active

Manufacturers that are no longer referenced can be inactivated and they will no longer appear in selection lists.
