Holidays are the non-standard trading days that can be loaded against each Account individually to denote that the Account is not normally open or functioning on that day and hence will have low or no demand for vended product.
The demand forecasting element of the Pre-kitting calculations will look to see if there are any Holidays loaded against an Account in the period between services and remove those days for the purposes of calculating average daily sales in the past period and to predicted demand in a future period.
The fields used to define Holidays are:
Description
The name of the holiday eg Thanksgiving.
Observed Date
The actual day that the Holiday will be next observed.
Holiday Date
The actual formal date of the Holiday.
